The SKRUK Choir
The SKRUK Choir has been under the leadership of Per Oddvar Hildre for over 40 years and through all these years it has been a groundbreaking force in Norwegian choir music. Since its inception in 1973, SKRUK has found - and been found by - several exciting musical partners at home and abroad.
Per Oddvar Hildre (born 23 April 1950) is a Norwegian choirmaster. He is perhaps better known as "Prots" and started SKRUK in 1973. He is counted as one of Europe's leading choirmasters and haa received several awards for his work.
The choir is run as a non-profit organization and consists of 50 singers from all parts of Norway. Its activity is project-based and the choir meets for four weekends a year in addition to a longer summer assembly.
