New album! Starry Crowns in Heaven

October 12th SKRUK released their latest album, Starry Crowns in Heaven. This is an album totally devoted to spirituals, and Moses Hogan is the main contributor of songs and arrangements. Among the tracks are quiet and beautiful songs like We shall walk through the valley in peace, Abide with me and Give me Jesus. There are also more up-tempo tracks like Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel, Good news, chariot's comin' and Elijah Rock. SKRUK has been inspired to learn these songs through visits to New Orleans and also by Professor Carver Davenport's visits to Norway. Many of these spirituals have been part of SKRUK's concert programme for some time already, but only now they are available in album version. The album contains fourteen tracks in total and can be purchased online from www.kkv.no

CANCELLED: California tour of 2009

We are very sorry to inform our friends in California that the long planned tour to Southern California in June in 2009 has been cancelled. The reason for the cancellation is the uncertain economical situation in the US these days, and the qhoir did not find it possible to secure the financial basis for the tour. However, we really hope that the plans can be realised another year!
